Fishing Buddies

John and Cooper went fishing last Sunday, a real "guys" day! They have been a couple times now, and,apparently, have established their ritual...fishing poles, check; minnows, check; suckers, check; brownie, check; orange soda, check!!! (notice the "orange-stache" Coop is sporting in every picture) They caught a couple of crappy (isn't that how "croppy" is really spelled?), saw the "biggest froggy ever", and had one heck of a day together!

Mother's Day 2009

It took several shots to get both things Cooper made for me in the picture at one time! He made a very pretty cross in preschool, and (with the help of Daddy and "momma 2" aka Angel) a beautiful stepping stone with his handprint in it! It was a good day. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful, beautiful, smart, healthy son! God had been sooo good to me! Cooper really is my greatest accomplishment!

Happy Birthday Lindsey!

We recently celebrated my niece, Lindsey's, 13th birthday! I can't believe she is already a teenager! It was a fun time, the kids had a ball playing with each other! And I think Lindsey was really excited about the surprise present that her dad and my sister got her! Sarah's friend Susan(whose husband just happens to be Kris Allen's oldest/best friend!) managed, with the help of Kris' mom, to get some autographed pictures of Kris for Lindsey!! She was totally excited! Who knows, he may be .....THE NEXT.....AMERICAN IDOL!!!! : ))

A robin recently decided to build her nest on one of our gutter downdrains! We had a lot of fun watching the baby birds grow! And, as of tonight, one of the little guys had left the nest!
As for our four legged friends, the squirrels, they love to jump on our birdfeeder and eat all of the sunflower seeds out of it! They are very bold, and a real hoot to watch!

Hello strangers! It has ONLY been (over) a month since I last posted! As I have established- I am a binge blogger! LOL

Since Cooper has been old enough to know what the mall is-really what the mall PLAYGROUND is-we make frequent trips to the ol' food court/play area! He, like all other kids, loves it! So, after a cookie and icee- snack of champions! ;)- I managed to capture some cute moments. Amazing how you can get even a hyped up (almost) 3yr old to hold still for some pictures if you threaten "no Noggin" ! I know, horrible Mom- IT WORKS, THOUGH!!!
